I am really glad I read this. I have had the Mirena for around 6 months. It was as painful to me as labor pains. I was actually shaking from head to toe after the placement. Since then, my periods are great, I barely have one. BUT I have had the worst acne of my life. I have taken Minocycline and am using Retin A and it doesn't even help. My back gets huge cystic acne constantly. Now I am having severe anxiety and feel like I am going crazy. The posts I have read has helped me realize that it has to be the Mirena. I made an appointment for removal. I can't stand the way I am feeling. Thanks for sharing.

I had already made my appiontment to get it removed before i read all these post and Im glad i did! Ive had it for about a year and noticed a big change! Im always spotting, i cant tell when i have my period, its light but anyoning! I always have to have at least a underwear liner on and im always getting cramps .Not to mention the acne ive been getting on my face! At first i thought it was just one or two pimples that would clear away soon but that wasnt the case they just kept coming one after the other! nothing wrost then always having breakouts! Its nice not to have to worry about taking pills but the side effects are just not worth it! I hope my doctor doesnt tell me i have to wait anymore since i have had sex 3weeks ago.
