I have been taking Lisinopril for about six weeks now,,, about a month ago I started getting this horrible tickle in my throat, especially at night, it has become worse over ther last few weeks and I can't stop coughing almost to the point of vomiting. I am so glad that I found this web site. Luckily I don't seem to have any of the other side effects others are experiencing, and I don't want to, I am stopping this med and calling my doctor tomorrow. Also, my 82 year old mother is on this and she has been telling me for months that she is tired all the time, and coughing, no energy, depressed, I am definitely calling her first thing in the morning and telling her to call her Dr. (which happens to be her granddaughter by marriage) and hopefully she too can get off this horrible med... Thanks for all the posts.

the cough is the most common reason why people stop using lisinopril. don't let your doctor talk you into tests for bronchitis and asthma, chest x-rays or drugs for the cough. it's caused by the lisiniopril and every doctor should know that
