I also thought I had something serious wrong with me until I found this website and read all the symptoms that so many women have been having!! I have made an appointment with a GP on Wed and hopefully will have no problem convincing her to remove my Mirena. I had it inserted in Feb 09 for heavy and painful periods. I didn't stop bleeding for 2 months after insertion and then only stopped due to medication prescribed by GP. Since then periods have been regular, not as painful and not as heavy. BUT!!!!! I would rather put up with painful, heavy periods than put up with heart palpitations, painful breasts and underarms, weight gain, constant lower abdominal pain, lower back pain, no sex drive, weight gain. Who needs all that crap in their life!! Can't wait till Wednesday!!
