I would also just like to add that I have developed a ganglion cyst in my right wrist, and do experience frequent joint pain. I don't know if this can be attributed to the use of Yasmin.

Birth control pills mess with your hormonal balance, including your liver and gut. I never had problems with sleeping or digestion until re going on birthcontrol pillls after a 4 year hiatus. Within a few months I was tired, not sleeping and lost all my sex drive. They mess with your thyroid and supress your thyroid. I was also given antibiotics to handle the constant UTI's I was getting and found this with the birthcontrol pills created "leaky gut", which causes issues with food allergies and brings on anxiety, panick attacks, etc.

If you you google the "rythm" method that should be your birth control. God never intended us to take these. People are just now finding out the ramifications of years on birth control pills. It's not just if you smoke or drink. Those things contribute to risks, but the real risk is your hormonal health and if you don't have that life is miserable.

If you already experience all the symptoms everyone is describing get off those pills--they are poison and get yourself on some detox and cleansing program (health food store) and start taking probiotics and these can mess up the flora in your gut. Also, clean up your diet and that will help detox the hormones out.

Thank you for your reply. I will definitely try a detox program. What makes me so angry is the fact that they would give these pills to girls (I was 16 at the time, now almost 22) without asking for bloodwork or medical history. I didn't even get a chance to experience my own hormones during the transition to womanhood.

No more bc for me ever! My boyfriend can cover it up for a while now, until we decide to get pregnant one day..
Thanks again.
