Happend to my wife. She was 24 at the time. Taking quasense for about 4 months. No problems. Then one night, she had this relentless cough that was keeping her awake. She has severe insomnia problems and the coughing was keeping her awake. We went to the ER because she couldn't sleep. She was on a lot of sedative meds and the doc didn't want to give her anything on top of them for sleep but he wanted to investigate the cough. They took some blood cultures and they came back with values that indicated possible blood clots. They then did a cat scan of her lungs. The doc comes back and says, "I have good news and bad news. The bad news is that you have blood clots in both of your lungs and the good news is that you're here and you're ALIVE". He then said that most of the time, they find out that it's blood clots via an autopsy and that she very well likely would have died had she not sought help in the ER. She spent 6 days and 5 nights in the hospital. She is not on 4mg of Warafin to thin her blood. The doc told her, "whatever you do, don't get pregnant". Now she's 25 now. Her and I were really looking forward to starting a family but she's going to be on Warafin for the rest of her life.
