I started taking Zoloft in December of 2007. I have had anxiety my whole life and after being in an intense car accident I decided it was necessary for me to try medication. It worked miracles. I no longer have anxiety attacks and I'm able to focus and not let little things worry me as much. Over the last few months, however, I have noticed that I have been gaining a lot of weight. My diet has stayed the same and I've been exercising more than usual. NONE of my jeans fit me anymore AND I'm getting a few stretch marks on my hips. I am scared to stop taking Zoloft since it has been almost 2 years. I am currently taking 200 mg. Does anyone have any advice on weening?

Good that you want to stop taking this drug which can cause many side effects. You can gradual stop taking it with less dosage and fewer days. There are many products to health issues . . .instead of taking drugs.
