Two days after taking my first Niaspan ER tablet I began felling itchy all over my body. The itchiness was so troublesome it kept me awake most of one night. I called my doctor's office to report the side-affect, which is listed as "serious" on the information page included with the prescription, but received no response. Obviously they don't care.
