I had my Mirena removed 10 days ago. My Dr. put me on BC pills temporarily(Loestrin 24) because I had also opted to have the Essure Procedure(permanent birth control) 4 days post Mirena removal. Even with the removal, the new pill and the Essure in 10 days I still feel so so much better since the Mirena was removed. I have so much more energy. My acne and eczema seem to be improving. I think it is going to be a long process to feel "normal"again, lose the weight, etc... but I highly recommend having the Mirena removed if you are having serious adverse side effects...regardless of what your doctor says.
