the acne that I got from it got worse
and the mirena side effects dont get better from what I have expierenced
I have had tons of horrible side effects and they just get worse and more get added every month I am going to get mine out soon I hope

I had mirena put in at the end of Aug 2009 and by the middle of Sept. my face started breaking out. My face is very oily ! Also my mood swings are horrible. I started taking prozac and it doesn't help. I have gained over fifteen pounds since having it put in. (only 2 months ago) The dr says its not mirena causing these side effects , but that just can't be true !! I am going to get it removed as soon as I can ...

OMG i thought it was just something that i was going thought with my face being greasy and having acne that i have never in my life had. Its so bad that i can wipe my hand a cross my face and see and feel the oil on my hand . I have had the Mirena for 4 years and this just started about a year ago never thought it could be the Mirena till now. Not only that in the pass year i have gotten this bad odor as well and was blaming my boy friend for it come to find out its got to be from the Mirena i have seen a lot of people talking about it i am so glad that my friend told my about this site. Hope you get it taken out i go tomorrow and i think am going to have them take mine out i am so sick of everything that is going on with my body from this. Good Luck

Thank god that I am not the only one with this issue. I had acne as a teenager but nothing like this. I am 28 yrs old and my skin is the worst that it has ever been, I have several new pimples every morning that I wake up. I don't want to even go anywhere because it's so embarrasing. I have never had to worry about my skin like this and literally nothing that I have tried as far as acne med has helped. MaryKay, Neutrogena oil free acne wash, clearasil, clean n clear, proactive, etc.. NOTHING!!!! I am getting this out asap and going to Ortho Tri Cyclen. It has the 2 hormones estrogen and progestin to balance out your hormones. I have used it before when i was a teenager b/c of my acne but i stopped using it b/c I could never remember to take it at the same time. I have 2 other meds that I take at night so I am going to set my alarm for 8:00 p.m. and get myself and my skin back to normal. Good Luck to everyone

I am experiencing the same acne problem you ladies are talking about, but this is the only side-effect i got so far since August of this year. Is there really nothing we can do to solve the acne problem caused by mirena?? Any doctors out there to help??
