I have been on Fosamax for eight weeks. I had joint and muscle pain especially in the neck right from the beginning. I went to the pharmacy and asked about the effects. She told me to just continue to take the medicine. After the second refill I also have been having stomach pain that wakes me up from sleep. My neck seems to feeling worse. After reading all the other blogs I am stopping this drug. All of my joints are painful and also there is a lot of clicking!! I hope that it hasn't done too much damage.

Great that you stopped taking this drug. Unfortunately, as you can see, pharmacists push/defend drugs , even though a patient complains about the side effects !!! . . the HUGE $$$ racket about drugs . . VERY SAD . . when there are natural products/alternatives.

this is such a BS drug! eat whole fods and get weight bearing exercise. do yourself a favor and don't ever get a bone scan. they will be comparing your bones (i don't know how old you are) to those of a 20 yr old. of course, you're going to fail that test. the test is specifically engineered to produce results that will lead to increased prescriptions.
there are many cultures in which women live to ripe old age and never get hunched over. find out what they do and do the same
