You are right . . . . .The FDA is VERY frustrating and shameful . . . . . along with most of the drs. and drug co's . . . . they continue to push . .. . .POISON. VERY SAD !!!
Inter alia, latin, you are an Attorney! So why are YOU perusing this website? What are you looking for? I found this Website solely by accident when trying to find answers for side effects related to a drug called Lisinopril. E-postings ARE one-way anonymous tracks that allow you to seek out symptoms that mirror your own when your Doctors deny the side effects you are experiencing. Yes indeed, you find out that you are not alone. Who wins...maybe you do! You do because everything you suspected rings more truer now than before (without the scientific evidence that you can't produce) and now you can "kiss your Doctor goodbye" along with all the drugs they continue to prescribe. The side effects are worse than the ailment!! You wonder why our Health care is out of control...continue reading this site. One starts a drug, side effects begin and so does all the additional testing. Lets do blood work, MRI's, Cat Scan, Spect Scans, Pet Scans, let's just Scan away. Let's order more and more test when all the while, it was that little pill you've been ingesting now for weeks, months and perhaps years. Yes, DNA IS most fascinating. Why, because when you think of the millions of people living on this earth, no two are alike. That in itself is amazing! Continue to look for answers why you feel the way you do on a particular drug just because of YOUR DNA. Luckily, we have this technology for quick answers. Big Phama wins no matter what. Let them data-mine away. Hello, they don't want a test which determines in advance which patient safely may consume a drug. That would take millions and millions and millions of dollars out of their pockets and send the Actuaries into a tailspin. Not to mention, the Doctors wouldn't be able to prescribe another drug to take care of the symptoms of the first drug you took. It just goes on and on. In order NOT to be a guinea pig, I hope these sites "rage on" so that we can remain advocates to our own Healthcare. Doctors are under the spell of of Big Pharma. Let these sites and technology be the "witch hunt" to break it!
bellabear . . . . . .AMEN !
i think this forum IS useful. first, its a place where people can research drugs and maybe see how the affected real people. they can get information here that their doctors don't have the time or interest to give them.
second, i do believe that useful information for lawsuits can be generated. sufferers can find out that they aren't alone, that they're not crazy. they may learn that there is indeed a class action lawsuit in the works and they can add their story to that pile
third, maybe the readers here will make better decisions in the future. maybe they've learned that doctors aren't gods and that their perscriptions are not always in their best interests.
my 85 yr old father stopped taking advair (he's been treated for asthma for the last 40 or so years) and simvastatin after i sent him information from these forums. he's feeling better than he has in years. he's had no asthma symptoms and his rash and muscle aches have gone away.
if nothing else, people reading this forum may come to realize that americans are, as a whole, over treated. maybe they'll take more responsibility for their health and reserve drugs for truely life threatening acute issues
mmaybe when their doctors start to write a script for levaquin for something silly like a sinus infection, they'll know enough to ask for something milder
and if the Big Pharma is watching- fine! they might as well know that we HATE THEIR GUTS! that we are sick and tired of them making us sick and tired while they make billions of dollars and fly around in private jets. maybe they won't care, but it sure makes me feel better
