mmarzell, I so appreciate the spirit and heart in which you have written your posting and I can tell you are very passionate about how the Lord has delivered you from your own torments. I'm so very happy for you. I would encourage you to be careful in how you encourage others with your own experience. The reason I say this is because for years and years I did just as you did and found no deliverence. It was not for lack of faith that is for sure. For my faith in my Lord and Savior is abundant! After many, many years of torture not only for myself but for my family as well I came to the understanding that my need was a medical need and not a spiritual need. That was so freeing. Now I do believe that there is a big difference and that not all of those who take medicine NEED medicine and so in that I completely agree with you. But I have a chemical imbalance and as soon as I was on the proper medications I became a very "normal" person for the first time since I was very young. My point is that, YES, sometimes all we need is God, but sometimes we need God AND medicine (just as a diabetic needs insulin for their imbalance). And in my humble opinion we just all need God to be added to ALL of our lives in every way. My heart is not to reprimand you and I hope you don't take this as such. Your message is encouraging and so needed for those who may not have a "medical" need for medication to look to the ONE who can heal the heart ( and I am not implying that HE cannot heal the body as well). You still give hope in both ways. Thanks for the encouragement!
