I've been on prednisone for nearly 3 years continuously for Ulcer...

My husband has been on Prednisone for close to 40 years. When he first came down with Dermatomyositis, he had some itching bouts....before the medication. But then later, after he was on the Prednisone, there was a point where he started itching again. My Mom suggested he take a washcloth and put it in warm water, then pour Sea Salt on it and rub it in good. Jim said the treatment felt so good! He left the Salt on his skin until it became dry and then brushed it off. It stopped the itching and the next morning he was fine and all these years later, he has been itch free. He is on 15 mgs. of Prednisone daily.
