I've had the Mirena for 4 and a half years with no period. Reading here I realize a lot of my issues are related to the Mirena. Now ironically I am cramping, spotting/bleeding, and breaking out like never in my life. My stomach is always swollen and everything I eat creates pain. I do plan to have it removed ASAP but wondering if that will open the flood gates after so long without a period. I should mention I am in Menopause and some of my friends don't have a period anymore. Could I be that lucky! It was a struggle to insert the Mirena and wondering if it generally isn't horrific to remove. I'm coming back as a Man!
