I was prescribed Avelox for a sinus and ear infection. I have been taking it for a week now and honestly don't feel much better. With amoxicillin or omnicef, I would have felt better on day 2 of the antibiotic. I haven't had any of the severe side effects anyone else has, but I do feel just "out of it." It's like I've had a "brain fart" all week! I've been extremely forgetful and lethargic.

what you mean is- you haven't had any severe side effects YET. everyday that you are on it, you are tempting fate. your luck could run out at any time. if you've had better luck on another less dangerous antibiotic, ,then call your doctor and insist that he change it. who knows, maybe he got a free lunch that day from the makers of avelox and that's why you got it instead of something else
