Bad cholesterol? Is there really such a thing as bad cholesterol? I mean, did nature put this "bad cholesterol" in our bodies for the purpose of giving us a heart attack? Or is it some sort of marketing tool? Cardiovascular disease is a problem among industrialized populations. So I suppose the man living in the jungle where heart attacks are almost unknown, has almost no "bad cholesterol" I seriously doubt it. I'll bet that if you were to pull blood from these people with no heart disease, you would find their "bad cholesterol" just as high or higher than people in the USA.

In fact, they did that to the greenland eskimos back in 1989 ( low rates of heart disease) and ya know what they found? Bad cholesterol was a mean of 170.
