I had the Mirena IUD place in January 2009 after having my son in November 2008. It was all fine until about June when I started breaking out so bad, and not being able to lose weight. I was running 4-5 miles a day and not losing any weight. The worst was my skin. I had been clear for so long, then all of a sudden BAM! I had it taken out immediately and have since been taking Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo. I am hoping that this will help my skin. Anyone else with this problem?

I'm 29 years old and I have been trying to loose weight for the passed 2 years. I am mother and wife the bitch at home. I feel that I can't control my moods and I feel bad after screaming and my 2 boys and my husband. I feel so out of energy and even making love sometimes it's just boring. I hate the way I look and Im so ready to get this thing out of me. Hopefully I can loose weight once it's out.

You WILL lose the weight. I was 145 while I had it in... I had it out in August and seriously have NOT been working out at all bc my skin was soo broken out and I was scared to (it made the acne look worse) and I am now down to 137. My skin is better, and the weight is better.. But I am wondering how much longer til my hormones regulate on this new bcp I am taking ortho tri cyclen. I am interested to know if any women out there had this problem and if so how long did it take for your body to adjust?
