Strength18- call your dr. but for me the lamictal really helped initally with my depression and rage. I still have "ups" but not as drastic as previous. Now my depression seems to be recurring. No suicidal thoughts/preoccupation but crying, irritable, lack of motivation etc. Best wishes
I read your comment and it easily could have been written by me. I am now 3 weeks into Lamictal, up to 100 mg day, and haven't stopped crying for 2 weeks. I have cycles - one is between 7 - 9am (right after my pill) and the second wave is between 4 - 7pm. I just get so depressed and moody and the littlest thing will make me cry. I have not had an ounce of relief and feel I was better off before Lamictal. I've talked to my doctor about it and she put me on Ativan for anxiety, but I really feel I need an anti-depressant. She wants me to stick with Lam a few more weeks to see if things even out. Ugh! Just so you know, you are not alone! Hang in there!
