My whole torso, stomach area and sides along with upper and lower arms broke out in an extreme rash which was painful, oozing, welts, open sores and some bleeding. This lasted from @ mid July 2009 to present, Nov. 2009. Using A&D ointment, oatmeal baths, many vitamins and plenty of water it is just now settling down to symptoms of pink(raw) skin and not so severe pain with still some itching and flakey skin.

Why do you continue to take a drug that cause MANY side effects? . . there are many natural products/alternatives for health issues

for the last 2 years i have taken METOPROLOL (which did not regulate my high BP), COZAAR (which the pharmacy says does not come in generic/ my insurance won't allow me to pay the generic $7 copay), LISINOPRIL (which my new dr. just took me off for allergic reaction), and now NORVASC (that is also not regulating my BP), although i probably couldn't tell which one works or not, as i have also for the last 2 years sporadically endured HIVES WITH WELTS ALL OVER MY BODY, AND OCCASIONALLY LIP SWELLING (just the top or bottom) AND ALSO FACIAL SWELLING (usually just one side of my entire face)...... so now he prescrives the Norvasc as he is SOOO adversus to the Lisinopril as it causes these severe allergic reactions - finally decided to do the research myself and guess what? i have NOT found ANY HYPERTENSION MEDICATION WITHOUT the hives / welts / facial swelling severe side effects..... think i will try a more natural approach at this point and take my chances on my maternal predisposition to hypertension as i cannot have any quality of life taking benadryl 3 times a day for the welts / hives that also, in turn, (antihistamine) raise blood pressure. MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS MY A$$!
