SURGERY! The Mirena went through my uterine wall and into my abdominal cavity. After about a week I couldn't handle the pain anymore so I went in to see my OB. We did an ultrasound and she said she could see it but could feel it inside...I ended up getting an MRI that day and surgery that night to remove it... :(
This exact same thing happened to me- I had to have surgery to remove it. I actually let my Dr put in another while I was in surgery b/c they could place it better that way. It has been a little over a year and I'm having it taken out on Monday- can't wait. I have become the meanest person, moody, can't sleep, all of the side effects listed. Only 7 more days and I'll be done with it! Can't wait.
