I have had two shots of Lupron, as a result I've gained almost 30...
I have had two shots of Lupron, as a result I've gained almost 30lbs, had very bad joint pains and little hot flashes. I also experienced hair loss and became moody at times. However, my doctor did warn me that I would gain weight as a result of the shot and that I may experience hot flashes. December 2009 will make one year since my first shot the second shot was in April and I"m just beginning to feel normal again. It is now November 2009

OK...I am now scared. I am just getting started. I have pain everyday for about a year. It seems I always have cysts on my ovaries. So my MD doctor has referred me to a GYN. My first exam he told me I was looking at having a Hysterectomy (I am 38 and have 2 children) so I am OK with that thought. Then he told me I have to come in this week for a biopsey and ultrsound. He told me about Lupron and after reading your posts he was very honest with describing the side effects. I am almost thinking the Hyst. is the way to go. Does anyone have any pros and cons in doing this vs the shot?
