I have been on fosamax for about three months. All of a sudden I noticed my hair falling out. I had very thick curly hair, and now I fear that it will all go away. I am in a state of panic right now. I am wondering how much hair will I be left with, and will it ever grow back? Can anyone tell me ? I have stopped the fosamax a week ago, and will never take it again no matter what my doctor says. He is blaming the hair loss on hormones. But I have not had hormones for years. I am 57, had a hysterectomy at 28, took premarin for years, and stopped about 8 years ago. I have also been having pain in my shoulder which now that I read about other people having shoulder pain. could also be from the fosamax. Please tel me what to do about my hair loss! Will it grow back?
