I took my first pill of Levaquin 500 and started having abdominal pain.later I started feeling cold and shaking for about one hour. My arms and legs were so sore that I couldn't stand straight. Joints hurt a lot..My husband told me that my eyes were rolling and he was scare. Next day I had red dots in my whole body.mostly my legs. I went to the doctor for a blood test and my platelets were 35. Put me on prednisone. week before were 220. Almost sure was the levaquin. Shoud be taken out of market.

why nwere you put on it and are you off it now? please, please, please be careful. my friend was given levaquin for pneumonia and after 5 pills (i begged her too stop taking it) she had a stroke and has now been in the hospital for 3 wks. they think she may "walk again in time." she will probably never be the same. this is a person in her 50's, not an old person. i wish she had listened to me. i hope you will heed my warning and listen to your body. it's clearly telling you something. you don't need prednisone; you need to be off levaquin. please file a report with the FDA on medwatch. the more complaints they get, the more likely they are to listen

mariat . . . Unfortunately, many drs. continue to prescribe this drug . . even though the FDA is warning about this drug and the attorneys have ads for lawsuits . . .drs. are too busy now days . . . very scary.
