My 14 year old daughter was prescribed Advair 1 week ago. She had been on prednisone and Abuterol for 5 days and was still experiencing wheezing. Today I got a call from the school that she was very agitated. When I got there her eyes were darting everywhere and she was crying. She said that first she felt angry, then couldn't keep still and felt paranoid. When the nurse tried to reassure her before I arrived, my daughter didn't want anyone near her. She settled a little when we got home and now has been buried under her covers for 2 hours. She will NEVER use Advair again. And I will make sure my friends know what severe side effects this drug has.
