My mother had a COPD exaberation and hospitalized twice last month. Was on a 10 day regimine twice in a month starting at 60 mg. per day and weaning off. She is 77 and now is nervous, has crying spells, not steady on her feet, cannot concentrate on her favorite tv shows or read. She is agitated, thinks we need to pay more attention to her and thinks my 78 year old father is mistreating her at times. At first we thought it was damage to her brain from oxygen deprivation when sick but since researching Prednisone it must be the culprit. When will the end and could this be from taking this for 20 days? I wanted to post this experience and any comments or advise please.
