I have a tube inserted in between the lung and the lung cavity where excessive fluid is accumulating. I have to drain this fluid daily with special vacuum bottles. My doctor gave me an injection of Kenalog right in the tube and was deposited inside this space. I waited a few days before draining fluid, and i noticed after a few days, the fluid was not as bloody, and I was draining less fluid so I drained every 3 days. This continued for about 5 weeks with no noticeable side effects. I did have some random joint pain in various parts of my body, but I had not attributed it to the Kenalog. I figure I would need to keep taking this drug about every 2 months and after reading this site, I am more uncomfortable with that now.
