I knpw exactly what your friend is going through. I took Oxy for two years and if I missed one day the feeling of sheer dread, The sweats, the hot and cold flashes, and the crazy legs were too much too bear. Not to mention the delussions and severe body aches. But, I did get off of them. Been off for 2 years now. the trick is to wean yourself down slowly. I was taking one 10mg in the morning and one at night. My doctor prescribed me oxycodone 5mg to help me wean down. I started by taking an Oxycodone in the morning while taking Oxycotin at night. I did this for a couple of months and then went to oxycodone in the morning and at night for another couple of months. then I just took the oxycodone at night for a couple of months then every other day, Until I just didn't need them anymore It took me a year and a half to get off of them completely but, the withdraws were not anywhere near as bad as trying to quit cold turkey which I don't think I could have lived through
