I found your info by searching on the web and wanted to share my problems. I was taking Pravachol for almost a year and had no problems. My physician wanted to get my LDL lower under new guidelines so he put me on 20mg of Lipitor in mid July 2004. In early September 2004, I noticed that the balls of my feet and toes felt like they were 'asleep' and my face was tingling. I asked my doctor about this and he sent me to a neurologist who did MRI's and MRA's and found nothing. They took my sugar readings and I came in at 130 after fasting 2 times. He says I have diabetes which is in the family. He's not too sure this is causing my symptoms so he's now sending me for a second opinion with another neurologist. I asked him if the change to lipitor could have precipitated theses symptoms(at my wife's urging). He said no. I feel like I am a Zombie at times. He gave me 1800mg of neurontin for 10 days. This did absolutely nothing for me. Everybody thinks I'm going Bonkers!! I am a 49 years old and felt great until recently. Any help would be appreciated and if you would like more info let me know.
