I was prescribed Levaquin for a urinary tract infection. After one dose, I felt very much better and continued for 7 days. However, I did experience some uncomfortable side effects. I gained a lot of water weight which hopefully will come off now that I am off it. Also, I have been very sore in my joints and muscles and didn't know it could be a side effect until I found this site. I feel like I spent the last week doing very heavy work..it is hard to get up from a sitting position and I ache all over. I also have been experiencing what feels like severe heartburn. Even after drinking plain water. Another thing I experienced right away and throughout the course of treatment was shakiness, almost like I was going to pass out. Today I feel somewhat less shaky though still very sore. I stopped Levaquin yesterday and am hoping I will feel better soon.
