nu-siivastatin should be monitored by doctors better I was put on for maintenace because hdl was too low It caused me an enlarged heart and hiatus hernia. doctors are to blame as they should look at blood tests and it only helps people with ldl problems there is no drug except niacin can raise hdl levels. The doctors should not prescribe it on people with low hdl levels as it destroys the muscular structure in your body. THe doctors prescribed a 40mg to me and it gave me a lot of side effects that they couldnot detect until i done survey my self .when the drug has nothing to work on it is distoring other body part like muscles and liver
