If you are still not having any ill effects of this drug you are indeed a lucky person. Not only myself but also about 15 of my family and friends have suffered many bad effects from this and other statin drugs before taking ourselves off of it. The whole time the doctors try to tell people that these drugs are not causing these problems. My "former" doctor told me that they were safer than asprin and that they should be sold over the counter. She said that only 1 in 10,000 have any muscle problems. They are either stupid or in bed with the drug companies. I wonder which it is?
It's now 4 years on from that posting (which I had forgotten about). I am indeed fortunate that I can report absolutely no ill effects. I am still only on 10 mg, so it is a very low dose, perhaps the reason I have no contra indications. I literally had my 6 monthly blood test today so I should get an update early next week. Should it come back with being high I will let you know but so far it hasn't in the last 7 years. Without wishing to down play the effects that others obviously feel all I can say is that it has served me perfectly well.
