I am a deskbound employee 63 years of age. I have been on HBP meds for the last fourteen years due to my weight. I have slowly escalated from 230lbs to 330 lbs over the last ten years. I have been on Lisinopril (20mg and then 40mg/day) for the last three years. It does control my blood pressure but could be part of the problem with losing any weight. My exercise is extememly limited due to laziness, financial inability to get equipment/memberships, and (of course) the overweight condition. While I don't have a dry cough I do have a consistant sinus drainage and some heartburn symptoms. I am concerned that the Lisinopril is contributing to my weight situation since I have not been able to lose weight regardless of diet. I am planning to move off of the chemicals and use natural herbs and medicine to control my blood pressure. I will report changes here after three months off of the pills.
