Took Lipitor 40 for 4 months, had immediate muscle pains in one arm. So my doctor took me off it. HOWEVER, I took the highest dose of Pravachol (80 mg) for at least 5 years with NO side effects. Only changed because my insurance compaing insisted due to new cost increases in Pravachol. So, the ---- with the insurance company, back to Pravachol.
