I have been on Lipitor for about seven years. About a year ago my doctor increased my dosage to 40mg. When I started to get twitching and pain in both legs I stopped taking it Soon my cholesterol level shot up to 320. My doctor told me to get back on the Lipitor which I did. The twitching, pain and cramping to my legs returned to the point were I could hardly walk. My right foot beame numb and I started using a cane to get around. After seeing a neurologist and having several test he told me that I had sensory neuropathy. He put me on Neurontin 100mg. No one will admit it but I beleive statin caused this MS/ALS symptoms I am experiencing. I'm at a loss on what to do - I'm still using a cane.
