I am a 44 year old woman and have been taking lisinopril for about one month for high blood pressure. I have also been taking ritalin for 14 months for hypersomnia. Within a week after starting the lisinopril I started having several adverse reactions. The first one I noticed was fatigue. I switched from taking it in the morning to taking it at night, but it has not helped. I also wake up several time at night. My hands and forearms are frequently numb and feel tight and sometimes burn and turn red. I have an increased incidence of raynaud's syndrome. I also have heart palpitations. The worst symptom by far is increased anxiety and severe depression. I have been searching the web for 3 weeks for any information that lisinopril may cause depression and this is the first site I found that mentioned it. I see my doctor next week and will request he find me another medication that will not react adversely with the ritalin.

I've recently started lisinopril for high blood pressure and have been on methylin (generic Ritalin) for a couple of yeas for ADD. I've been having some issues: fatigue, sometimes an inability to sleep, tingling in my fingers, much anxiety, and bouts of depression. Worst of all, I just feel odd all day long. I only put two and two together because I forgot to take my lisinopril before work one morining and I felt better all day. I took my dose that evening, and I did not sleep well. I need to call my doctor.
