To Desperate Boyfriend: Well, I've been taking this junk since January (6 Mths). I've posted here before about certain side effects that now seem trivial to me. It takes a lot of my efforts to remain calm and not get freakish about my relationship that I'm in. Just the other day, my mood totally turned around and I said "I feel like something is different" to my boyfriend. Thankfully, he kind of understands that it's not all my fault. However, I've been making a consious effort to just try and relax and stop worrying about what might be wrong (honestly, there is nothing wrong). Not to get technical, but the week after my period is the worst, I guess my body is rejoicing because that week there is no hormone being put into my body -- the first week of the new pack I feel physically and mentally like I've been hit with a Mack truck. I hate the fact that I have to take this stuff, it makes me cringe, I'm not a big fan of prescription medications anyway. As far as your actual relationship goes... the Yasmin might be a big factor. If your girlfriend has stopped taking it, good. I haven't stopped yet, I probably should. Anyway, support her and tell her that this Yasmin might be causing underlying problems. Don't sit there and be like "look, this is what's going on". Somehow just try and sit with her and let her open up to you about how she REALLY feels. This will probably help more than anything. Maybe she really feels like her body is screaming at her or she feels like her mind is running in a 100 different directions -- she might just be blaming all of that on you because you're right there. Keep your head up!
