Red and Green Pills

I have been taking FeroSul brand iron tablets for quite a while. I've had the green pills and red pills. The green pills cause my stomach to cramp, make me nauseous, and I really don't notice any change in disposition after taking them. The red pills have never given me any problems. Is there any difference between the two?
Missaffliction - I work in a hospital pharmacy and our red tabs are ENTERIC COATED which means they do not disolve in the stomach, but in the small intestine rather. That could be one factor.
