Withdrawl From Lipitor

I was on 80mg per day for about two years and found a vitamin which lowers cholesterol naturally. I stopped the Lipitor cold turkey. I have all this energy, like I am on speed. But I feel good!! Losing some weight. I did not tell my doctor that I stopped the drug. But I will at my next visit on 12/26/08. I feel weird, like the energizer bunny. Want to keep going and going. Any idea?
777 - Good that you stopped that dangerous drug. I stopped taking "cold turkey" also almost 11 mos. ago. Perhaps your "vitamin" is the answer on your new found "energy". Don't be surprised if your dr. is unhappy that you stopped taking the poison . . . . when I told my dr. that I stopped taking it because of the many side effects, he wanted me to take another statin !!
Unfortunately, all drs. know is to push drugs.
Charlescrimi128 - hey, thanks for your reply. it was very helpful. one thing i did not mention was i only sleep for a few hours and then awake for hours. i feel tired but still full of energy. I work for a supermarket and the night before christmas eve, i slept only from 11p to 2a and finaly got out of bed at 6 and worked 11.5 hours on christmas eve.
