Lisinopril Severe Constipation, High Blood Pressure, Kidneys, Health Issues, Emergency Room
Posted over a year ago
I have been taking Lisinopril for high blood pressure and to protect my kidneys as I have diabetes. I keep trying it as my Dr. says it is the only one for my health issues. I have tried many other drugs. I have been to the emergency room with severe constipation while using it and I think this medicine caused colon pain. When I go off it all these problems go away.
Propsguy - do you have juvenile diabetes or type 2? if you have type 2, you can be rid of it in short order by making dietary changes. then you won't need any medication
Bellabear - Hello...you're body is trying to tell you something!!!! GET OFF! and STAY OFF. This is poison.
Simlin - Please get help and believe yourself. You have something very rare called intestinal angioadema which means you have hives in your intestines causing swelling. Read my story January 25th under simlin2. I just had surgery for a rectocele (look it up) which is a hernia in the colon. No one believed me in this country so I went to England to get a diagnosis. They won't find it in emergency rooms either. I've suffered eighteen months because of the outcome and I have no insurance so I am debt to get rid of the rectocele. They reckon it is mostly black people or Caribbean decent, but I am white European. They just don't recognize the symptoms because of it's rarity, so you keep suffering. Scream loudly and stop taking this pill. Take care. Linda
