Weaning Off Lisinopril

Please explain how to wean off Lisinopril. I'm concerned that my body needs a slow process instead "cold turkey"! I will be going to the Dr. in 2 weeks. Would appreciate information prior to visit.

Reese99 - You should never stop taking your blood pressure medication without the consent of your doctor. Keep taking the medication until you see the doctor and he/she will decide the next step for you...by changing the medication for you, etc. You don't wean off drugs like Lisinopril.
Ryan - Why not wean yourself off this med? The doctor will if you do not. Just go
slow. I am, I have cut pill in half, will do this for a month then half of that for
another two weeks.
Toma - I just got off of it as i couldnt stand the side effects, my question is how long does it take to just go away!!
