2357jj - My husband was diagnosed in 2006 at age 60, had surgery and was put on Lupron when his PSA went up six months later. The lupron has been devastating for both of us - i feel like a tired old woman, living with someone who has no interest in me except for housework. We are working with a novel approach that will alternate chemo with complete androgen blockade which will hopefully attack the cancer and will give both of us a break from the hormone treatment.
Robinb - Interesting enough, I understand this drug was orignally meant for prostate cancer. I have breast cancer and was recc. this drug to supress my ovaries for hopes of getting pregnant after chemo. I know man vs. woman story is not too similar, but unfortunately the cancer is. I pray your husband has had sucess with this!!!
