Yasmin Having not been on birth control pills for quite a few years....I was recommended by my gynecologist Yasmin. She told me it had a diuretic effect and may increase potassium levels. She did not tell me what else it might do to my body. I stayed on it for a total of 6 days......terribly depressed, angry, fretful sleepless nights with disturbing dreams. I was an emotional wreck, crying uncontrollably and feeling so sad over everything. I would not recommend this BCP to anyone. I had been on Triphasil for almost 13 years with no such side-effects after taking a break for 4 years before going back on a BCP.
