Mirena I had Mirena put in back in September 2009 after the birth of my daughter. I had lost 20 pounds right before I had it put in, but then gained it back within a month of having it. My doctor said it was not from the mirena. Well I have been on weight watchers since October and work out almost every day for about an hour and have not lost a pound! It is everything I can do to maintain my weight! I aim to lose about 70 pounds but cant seem to do it. I look like I am 6 months pregnant. I also have no sex drive, horrible migraines(sp?) hair loss, very dry skin and really bad mood swings. I thought for a while maybe I was bi polar it was so bad. One of the worst side effect was the constipation. I cant go unless I take a lax. I have had my blood work done, and everything is fine. My blood pressure is a bit low but thats it. I scheduled an appointment for next week to have this taken out. I am so done! I just want to lose the weight and not have headaches or mood swings anymore. I would not recommend this to anyone. If you do have it, have it taken out!!!!
