Extreme Pain With Mirena

I had a mirena inserted a little more than a year ago now, for the purpose of reducing cramps and bleeding. The day I had it inserted was terrible, but eventually the pain subsided and I almost didn't feel anything at all. Then I noticed after about 6 months, that I was getting abdominal pain after sex. Sometimes it was minor, and other times it was a lot worse and all I could do was lie in the fetal position until the pain went away. Last night was a COMPLETELY different story! After my husband pulled out, I felt this searing pain all through my lower abdomen. So I just lay there and waited for the pain subside...but it didn't. I was IN TEARS! I have NEVER felt pain like this in my entire life! I couldn't even move to switch sides after the right side of my body became numb after lying on it for too long. I felt like I was going to projectile vomit everywhere and pass out at the same time. Long story short, I'm sick of experiencing pain like this and last night was the final straw.
