Love the Mirena, but This Is a Little Strange...

I have had my Mirena for 4 years now with no complaints! Love it!!! So many positives about this form of birth control for me, as well as my family! One of, in my mind, the best things about having the Mirena is the lack of a monthly menstrual cycle... Prior to placement, I had terribly heavy and long periods, and since the IUD insertion I've had next to none... Until roughly 8 days ago. About a week ago, I began experiencing PMS like symptoms - extreme breast tenderness, nausea, bloating, cramping, and then 2 days into it the actual spotting began and had continued ever since. I'm wondering if this is normal, or if anyone else has had a similar experience? I hate calling my gynecologist for a little spotting and cramps but this is just sort of odd for what I've grown accustomed to expect. Any input would be greatly appreciated!!! Thank you!!!
