Ive had mirena for 2 years and have gained 10 pounds per yr not good :( i love the mirena best birth control i dnt have problems with it but the weight gain is horrible and i talked to my doc abt it and says thats not becuase of the mirena but seriously 10 pounds per yr thats not normal i eat okay and excersie im not doing anything different then before i had the mirena? I dnt wana remove it but this wieght gain is not good and i felt that it was just me but i ges not which make me feel beta that its not just me :)

Akozi234 - I have only had mine since Sept. Before that I was loosing almost 10 lbs a month. Since I had it put in, not so much. I have stopped loosing weight and have started gaining almost everything back. I have been dieting and excersizing but nothing helps. I have the paraguard which supposedly doesnt have hormones. Who knows at this point. There is no reason for me to gain weight and no one can explain it. I'm getting mine removed in 3 weeks and hopefully this helps. Good Luck!!!

Hersheys_21 - Wow im doing the same dieting and excersing and nothing helps? Thanks Good luck to you to hope everything goes well i wish i could remove my and start loosing all this weight but i really dont wana have kids and idk abt any other form of birth control that i dont need to be worrying abt taking something every day or mth?
