NuvaRing Stomach Cramps, Gynea, Nuva Ring, Trusting Relationship, Important Decisions
Hi, I'm a healthy, happy 24 year old and only started the Nuva Ring six days ago. I have just taken the HORRIBLE thing out. I cant believe I didn't research into the negative side effects before as I usually try to be as informed as possible when making important decisions like this. Unfortunately it has affected me so much in 6 short days that I feel I would be risking my relationship by keeping it in.
Ive been a nervous, irrational, paranoid wreck, have burst into tears and (almost) violent rages completely unprovoked (I seem like a nutcase as I am literally imagining situations in my head - wild bouts of jealousy which has NEVER, EVER affected me before - I am usually confident and secure, in a very trusting relationship), had horrible stomach cramps, bloating, I WET THE BED last night (to make matters worse, we are on holiday, in a rented apartment) and haven't had any desire whatsoever to be intimate with my boyfriend (usually we can't get enough of each other). I completely lost my head with him in the middle of the street today (by the way, we are on holiday in St Petersburg...). I feel like I don't know myself, this is absolutely ridiculous.
One question - now what? After only six days surely it can't be healthy to have removed it while all those hormones are pumping around my body....? Any feedback would be very greatly appreciated. Good luck with your searches for good contraception.........the options seem so primitive.
