Omeprazole Profuse Sweating, Prilosec, Acid Reflux, Cfs, Otc

I just googled "Prilosec & weakness with sweating" and came up with this site. I have been on OTC Prilosec for at least 2 yrs. taking it off & on...mostly on (everyday). I have been getting more ill over the last 2 months than I have ever been! I am diagnosed with Firbomyalgia & CFS, so I keep blaming my worsening symptoms on those two diseases. My doctor has done so many tests & can't find any answers. I am so glad I found this site. My symptoms of severe weakness, & profuse sweating, with many heart palps, may be coming from the Prilosec. I am going off of it starting today to see if I get any relief. I will have to find something else for my acid reflux...no more medicine!! If anyone knows of a natural product or food to lessen the acid, I would love to hear!

Jackinidaho - Use Zantax 150 mg am before any food, and nite prior to sleep in recliner chair. No coffee, booze, or spices, lots of water apple juice, no orange, no red meats, and 1 tps of Aloe Gel after each meal to heal. Jack

Knoeldevries - i have been getting a free eating plan from some book called, "taste great, no pain". they want you to buy the book, but i think you can just follow the eating plan from the daily e-mails they send. they claim if you eat that way your gastro problems will be gone. I have started doing it somewhat(as i had to do something after i came off the omeprazole)and it is helping already. I also have been using the hmeopathic medicine nux vomica and it works super fast and is very safe and cheap!onlt about 4.oo at super supplements.we all have to try to fix the way we eat and it really sucks but it;s the only way. I would rather eat whatever i want, but I'm starting to realize that it just isn;t possible.

Sbr - I was switch to generic prilosec by my health care provider. I never quite made the connection since I have been on this drug for years. I began sweating profusely 3-4 times a day for about three years and no one could fine a cause. I went thruogh many test. I was starting to feel weak this past year along with the diaphoresis. In an attempt to try to wean myself off the prilosec ( due to media coverage on bone side effects) I noticed that on the days I did not take it I did not sweat! I bought OTC Previcid and the condition came on again. I spoke with the phamacist who told me that the generic have other chemicals in them vereses the "real" med. I now buy otc prilosec made by the original company that produces it and am SWEAT FREE!
