Omeprazole Acid Blockers, High Blood Pressure, Rolaids, Aciphex, Hbp

Hi all...I've been taking one form or another of acid blockers for about 15 years. In former posts, I explained my symptoms and of course, we are all complaining about the same things.

I decided to drop my prescription omeprazole in January to see if things would improve. My biggest problem was high blood pressure. No one in my family has a history of it, but one day, about a week after taking samples of aciphex, my blood pressure skyrocketed.

I stopped taking my blood pressure med this past Sunday, and had my pressure checked yesterday...135/80.

Since stopping this garbage, I now take an occasional rolaids. I feel a hell of a lot better, lots more energy, less pain in the joints, sleep much better.

Any doctor that I asked about the HBP said it couldn't be from the acid blockers. Hopefully this will prove them wrong. I'll be checking my pressure on Tuesday to see if my pressure is still normal.
