Omnicef Sinus Infection, Oh My Goodness, Black Stool, Antibiotic, Antibiotics

I too was prescribed Omnicef for a sinus infection --- 300 mg. twice a day. Well I started taking it on Friday night and by Sunday, I had the black stool. Oh my goodness!!!! WHAT A MESS!!! That stuff starts coming out every time I just sit on the pot to pee! Anyway, by Monday evening, I stopped taking it. It's now Thursday night and I'm STILL fighting the dark, loose, odorless stool that just smears everywhere! I too did not notice this site until AFTER I had my experience with the antibiotic. I don't understand WHY they are still prescribing it since there are so many more antibiotics to choose from! Oh, it was also VERY expensive! I don't have insurance and those 20 nasty pills cost me $76.00!!! I wish people could see this site BEFORE they fill their prescription. Well I will definitely take my experience that I've learned the hard way and make sure NO ONE that I know, (especially my kids!) will EVER take it again. I feel sooooo sorry for the babies who have had to take it. No wonder they were fussy!!!
